Sometimes I get asked how one would go about supporting what I do.

This is the way.

Perhaps you’re not in the market for a carving to take home but you want to support my mission in other ways. Donations are very welcome and really help with all of the other avenues of running a self employed business - I’m constantly using all of my earnings to invest in new tool development (this can get expensive as I work with toolmakers who are blacksmiths and there’s a lot of back and fourth testing tools in wood which takes time, pushing the tool’s limits, busting some here and there, communication with the forge - producing some stellar tools (inspiration machines).

Investing in my craft will also help me plan more research and ambassador trips to other countries to meet other craftspeople, search through museums, learn from makers, and take time to document that for future releases.

Tools aside, having more opportunities to put aside free time to explore more of my craft, experiment more, and take time to document it to share with the people interested is something I miss doing more often. Earlier on I was able to do this but with my teaching schedule booking up, class prep, orders to finish, and harvesting materials, it eats up most of my time as keeping the lights on is priority.

I’m also looking for help funding some filming projects! Video gear, and the time consuming editing takes forever when I’d really like to spend time in the shop making carvings to sell. If you’ve wanted to see more of this, for now donations are welcome, but I plan to start a patreon type page for the folks that are really into seeing more into my carving life, with some carve-a-long projects, music, and more.

If you’d like to donate or invest in some projects, this may be an option for you. If you’d like to contact me about this or ways to help, please get in touch.
