Kuksa with Skull Toggle
Kuksa with Skull Toggle
Perfect for Coffee, Soups, or Ale.
The Kuksa - Inspired by the traditional wooden cup of northern Scandinavian people. These are designed for a great drinking experience with it's tapered rim to sip from, and it's bellied bowl easy to hold onto. Wood naturally insulates well, so it'll keep your hot drinks warm and you cold drinks cool.
This kuksa is carved more for the bushcraft type. It has a more rounded bottom which traditionally cups used by the nomad didn’t have flat bottoms. They sit better on the ground, moss, snow, etc. By itself it doesn’t sit so well on the table, but while full of liquid seems to sit alright on the table. This cup is meant to be in the hand by the fire.
Unlike other materials wood is one of the only ones to have an ever changing patina. What you drink, it absorbs a bit of that charm and overtime develops into a deep dark color inside the bowl.
