Spoon Blanks
Spoon Blanks
I’ve been asked to offer spoon blanks and these will be first come first serve as wood becomes available to me.
Each blank was from a freshly felled tree, chopped with an axe, wrapped in cling wrap to seal in moisture and stored in my freezer.
Blanks will come in radial and tangential grain orientation depending on what I’m cutting that day.
[!] I am offering a small portion of this very fancy spalted and figured (curly) silver maple. You can see how the wood looks in the photo of the kuksa and the three after.
Billets are measured in inches.
Eating Spoons - about 5-7” (some of the eating spoon sized figured maple is up to 9”

Cooking Spoons - about 10-14”
Scoop Blanks 4”L x 1.5-2”W x 1.5” thick
Short Spoons “5

Shipping are estimated and usually spot on but if there is a change due to extra shipping needed, I’ll send you an email.
Please note spoon blanks can only be shipped to the US only at the moment as there may be some regulations shipping wood internationally.
* If you’d like shorter eating spoons please shoot me a message! I have a handful of 5” mulberry and cherry.
**When your blank arrives, be sure to stick it in the freezer to keep it frozen and fresh longer, otherwise if you leave it wrapped up and thawed out for too long, it can grow mold.
